Sparda-Bank Altstadtlauf Köln 2026

The Sparda-Bank Altstadtlauf Köln is a summer city run in Cologne. The start and finish are in Rheinauhafen, directly in front of the Chocolate Museum. Its slogan, “Laufe op Kölsche Art,” means running the Cologne way, and the event emphasizes local language and “kölsches Jeföhl” instead of treating the race as a generic road run. The route goes through Cologne’s Old Town and along the area between the Altstadt and Rheinauhafen, passing older city streets and the modern waterfront. The field includes everyday runners, children, and local public figures, with RTL presenters and stars joining in past editions. Sparda-Bank West has donated money per participant to Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern e.V., and the event has presented a 50,000-euro charity check.
