TEAG – Legend of Cross is a two-stop cross and obstacle-running series in Thuringia, featuring LOC Mühlberg near the Drei Gleichen and LOC FRYHEIT in Bad Frankenhausen am Kyffhäuser. The races focus on mud, trails, water, and obstacles, not flat road speed. FRYHEIT provides Family Cross, Junior, Sprint, and Expert options, with distances ranging from 4 km to 20 km. The shorter races attract children and families, while the longer courses present a more challenging OCR day for solo runners and teams.
At Mühlberg, runners begin on the sports field below the Mühlburg and encounter over 30 natural and constructed obstacles, including mud baths and a fire jump, under the motto “I AM LEGEND.” At FRYHEIT, the course utilizes trails and obstacles around Bad Frankenhausen, a location linked to Olympic champion Nils Schumann’s early interest in cross running and the German Peasants’ War. The participation is wide-ranging; one FRYHEIT event saw over 600 participants, and race reports mention sunshine, bruises, high fives, and abundant mud at the finish.
