Trifun Pellworm is a sprint-distance triathlon held on the North Sea island of Pellworm in Schleswig-Holstein, organized in late summer by TSV Pellworm. Open to individuals aged 15 and up, approximately 330 participants are anticipated, creating a mix of regular triathletes, recreational athletes, and relay teams. The race takes place within the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage site. The start is tide-dependent: athletes enter the harbor just before high tide for a 500-meter swim in the North Sea.
Following the swim, the 20-kilometer bike course circles the island, where strong headwinds can present a challenge. The 5-kilometer run leads from the transition area to the ferry terminal and back, concluding in the harbor. Locally, the event is considered a well-kept secret in Northern European triathlon. Spectators gather at the harbor, and a lighthearted relay tradition includes an award for the most humorous and unique team.
