The WeinstadtTriathlon begins with a 300-meter swim in Weinstadt’s 25-meter indoor pool, followed by a short outdoor bike and run around the stadium. This late-September triathlon, organized by the city and SG Weinstadt, features distances suitable for amateur athletes, not long-course specialists. The main Jedermann race includes an 18.8 km bike segment and a 5.4 km run, with relay teams able to divide the three legs among participants.
The transition area is located on the artificial turf field between the stadium and the pool, providing a compact starting point before cyclists enter the vineyards. The bike course consists of three laps through the Weinstadt wine-growing region, and the run course uses three shorter laps through residential streets near the stadium. Up to 500 individual athletes and 30 relay teams can participate. Children and teenagers compete in a Swim & Run format without the cycling portion. The event is part of the Regio-Cup of the Baden-Wurttemberg Triathlon Association, awarding trophies and prizes to overall winners and age-group podium finishers.
