The BTT Bronchales Sierra Alta guides mountain bikers through the Montes Universales above Bronchales, Teruel, at an average altitude of approximately 1,500 meters. This one-day MTB event in the Sierra de Albarracín offers 75 km and 45 km non-competitive routes. Local sources identify it as the oldest and most attended mountain-bike race in the Sierra de Albarracín, with its long route included in the Teruel provincial circuit and the BTT Series.
The terrain features long climbs, steep descents, and dense wild pine forest. The course typically varies each edition but consistently includes the ascent to Sierra Alta peak, reaching 1,854 meters and lending the race its name. This summit, one of the highest in the Sierra de Albarracín, contributes to the event's high-mountain character, distinguishing it from lowland cross-country races. The Bronchales town hall and ATLOS organize the event, which has reverted to a single-day format after a period with a different structure.
