Canitrail Demanda Xtrem 2026

Canitrail Demanda Xtrem is a dog-powered race event in Urrez, a village in Burgos province, built around canicross and related disciplines. Runners, cyclists, and dog teams share the program, with canicross, bikejoring, and skijoring or scooter-style racing listed among the formats. The event is organized by Asociación Perrunners Burgos, and one edition drew more than 70 competitors across the different categories. The course starts on a fast track before the climbing begins around the first kilometer, where teams head up through pasture and the effort quickly starts to bite. After reaching the high point, the route drops through an oak forest and returns toward wider pasture, where faster teams can open up again. The bikejoring race had a small, sharp field of five cyclists racing with their dogs, which gives the event a practical, grassroots feel rather than a big-city race atmosphere.
