Challenge Peguera Mallorca sends triathletes into the water from Torà beach in Peguera, then keeps much of the racing close to the town, its boulevard, and the Mediterranean coast. It is an October, end-of-season Challenge Family event in Mallorca, Spain, built around a middle-distance triathlon: 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, and 21.1 km run. The weekend also includes shorter side events, including a 4 km Challenge Women Mallorca run, Junior Challenge races, and kids’ runs, so the program is not only for middle-distance specialists.
The triathlon swim is two laps off Torà beach, with athletes coming out onto the shore between laps. The bike course uses two 45 km laps through coastal roads, Calvià neighborhoods, hills, and traditional villages, with roughly 480-500 metres of climbing per lap. The half-marathon run is four laps around central Peguera, using the boulevard, seafront, Torà beach, and La Romana beach, with asphalt, embankment, and tiled sections underfoot. The women’s run is simpler and very town-based: two 2 km laps on a traffic-free boulevard circuit, starting on C/ Ratolí and finishing under the main triathlon finish arch. Elite triathletes line up for the main race, while club athletes, families, juniors, and first-timers can join the wider race-week program.
