Cross Pinar del Hierro y la Espartosa is a cross-country race held in Chiclana de la Frontera, within the Pinar del Hierro y la Espartosa public forest park. The Sports Delegation of Chiclana City Council is the organizer. The main adult race begins in the morning, followed by races for younger age groups. Adult participants will run 7.6 kilometers on a circuit approved by the Andalusian Athletics Federation.
The adult competition features under-18, under-20, senior, and veteran categories for men and women. These runners will complete two laps of the designated circuit. Subsequently, the event transitions to younger participants, ranging from under-16 down to pitufos, with race distances varying from three kilometers to 200 meters. The program also includes adapted-distance races and school races, ensuring the day accommodates both competitive club athletes and local children seeking their own race.
