Cursa dels Nassos is Barcelona’s New Year’s Eve 10K race. Its name originates from the Catalan phrase “home dels nassos,” referring to a New Year’s Eve figure with noses matching the remaining days of the year. The event is substantial locally, with over 13,500 participants.
The course offers a competitive platform for fast runners, not just a casual run. Marta Galimany established a Catalan 10K record on this course, and Ndikumwenayo also set records while competing in Barcelona. It remains a large-scale event, with thousands of participants running alongside elite athletes to conclude the year.
