The Trail Trans Serra da Groba begins and ends in Baiona, a coastal town in Pontevedra, Galicia, directing runners into the Serra da Groba mountains. This mountain-running event offers several distances: a long Trail of approximately 28 to 30 km, a shorter Trailiño of about 16 to 17 km, and a 10 km Andaina walk. The Concello de Baiona organizes the event, typically held in November, with the longer race commencing in the morning.
The course incorporates forest tracks, old local paths, and brief paved sections near the start and finish, blending trail and road elements. The long Trail ascends to 642 meters, featuring around 1,000 meters of climbing, while the Trailiño reaches 373 meters with approximately 450 meters of climbing. The lowest elevation is near sea level at 6 meters, providing a distinct coast-to-mountain character. Recent participant numbers indicate several hundred runners for the shorter trail, and the 10 km Andaina offers a walking option. Aid stations, timing, showers, changing rooms, medical support, trophies, and a finish-area speaker contribute to a complete local race day atmosphere.
