21. Fenix MTB Marathon Laajavuori 2026

Fenix MTB Marathon Laajavuori is an open cross-country mountain bike event in Jyväskylä, starting at Buugi on Sykeraitti. It takes place in June at noon, offering participants a choice between a relaxed ride on the trails or a timed competition. This is the 21st edition, featuring distances of approximately 17 km for the youngest participants and about 25, 50, or 75 km for other age groups. The course is technically moderate, making the 25 km option suitable for beginners and less frequent riders. Laajavuori presents challenges through its elevation changes, featuring steep climbs and fast descents instead of flat terrain. Age categories range from 10 to 60, with some classes contributing to Finland’s MTB Marathon Cup and Kultainen Kampi series. Jyväskylän Pyöräilyseura JYPS ry, the local cycling club, organizes the event.
