Cycl’Roquefort begins at the base of Combalou in Roquefort-sur-Soulzon, a village in Aveyron known for its Roquefort cheese. The primary option is a 127 km cyclosportive covering the hilly roads of South Aveyron. A shorter 103 km road route and a 70 km gravel ride are also available during the same event weekend.
The event features countryside road and gravel riding, not a closed-city race. The appeal lies in the terrain surrounding Roquefort and the undulating South Aveyron roads. Electric mountain bikes are permitted. Each participant receives a bike plate, and photographers will be present on the course. The finish area provides showers, restrooms, a bar, and food services. The gravel route includes local flavor with aid stations offering regional products. Riders must supply their own water bottle or eco-cup, as feed zones will not provide disposable cups.
