Moncel Oxygène organizes the event, with three options: a non-ranked 10 km night walk, a timed 10 km trail, and a timed 18 km trail. Both trail races list 100 m of climbing, so the format is more about moving through the forest after dark than tackling mountain terrain. The name points to the “tranchée des Loups,” a forest feature that participants are challenged to master, and the race leans into the Mandon forest’s legends and local stories. The program starts with a collective Zumba warm-up before the 18 km trail, the 10 km walk, and the 10 km trail set off in the early evening. The event followed a successful first edition, and its mix of timed trails, a walker-friendly option, and night-time forest atmosphere gives it a clear local identity.
