Les Boucles d'Anglade is a small spring race day in Izon, Gironde, utilizing flat nature routes along local lakes and marshes. Participants can choose between an 8 km race, a 16 km race, or a 16 km two-person relay. An 8 km walk is also available for those who prefer the same setting without the competition. Children have their own free 1 km and 2 km initiation runs prior to the adult events.
The course features no elevation gain, making rhythm and footing the primary challenges rather than climbing. Now in its fifth edition, the event seems geared towards local runners, walkers, families, and relay teams, not exclusively competitive club runners. Prizes are awarded to the top overall men and women in the 8 km and 16 km races, category winners in the 16 km, and the top male, female, and mixed relay teams. Each child receives a finisher medal, all participants get a bib-pickup gift, and adults are given a beer at the finish.
