Les Défis de la Boucle - Etape 4 is a 10 km night trail run in Besançon, featuring a unique blend of urban running and natural trail paths. Taking place in early December, it is part of the larger Les Défis de la Boucle series. The event accommodates various skill levels: beginners can approach it as a brief trail challenge, while experienced runners will appreciate the added difficulty of running after dark. The course navigates the Besançon area, incorporating trail sections rather than being solely a road race. The event also includes children's and junior races, fostering a family atmosphere beyond the main adult competition. A past edition attracted over 400 runners, highlighting the race's focus on a welcoming local environment, personal achievement, and encouraging participants to explore Besançon on foot.
