The Tour du Mont Genezet is a trail running event held in Plainoiseau, Jura, on a Sunday in November. It offers three race distances: 10 km, 15 km, and 25 km. The event runs from morning until late afternoon and includes hiking, Nordic walking, and children’s races, catering to families and runners alike. This will be the 20th edition, and pre-registration is recommended.
The 25 km race, with 800 meters of elevation gain, is the primary challenge, distinguishing it from a simple road race. Last year, over 230 participants took part, with 87 competing in the 25 km event. More than 40 volunteers supported the organization. Local media characterized it as a significant community trail run. The shorter Tour du Mont Genezet races see a quick pace at the front from competitive runners, while walkers, children, and families participate throughout the day.
