The bike leg directs riders onto the Magny-Cours racing circuit, a feature most local triathlons do not have. The race is based in Nevers, in the Nièvre department of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, and is typically held on an early-August weekend. It includes XS, S, and M triathlons, duathlon formats, youth races, relay options, and team entries. The M race consists of a 1.5 km swim, a 40.5 km bike ride, and a 10.5 km run.
The course covers the area around the port of La Jonction and the Magny-Cours circuit, connecting the city of Nevers with a well-known French motorsport venue. A special prize is awarded to the fastest rider over the 4.411 km circuit segment on the bike course. Nevers Triathlon, the local club established in 1985, manages the event, attracting athletes of various levels, including children, juniors, solo M-distance racers, and relay teams. The event has a significant local history, with the club already hosting its 40th edition of the Nevers Magny-Cours triathlon.
