100km de la Somme & Marathon d'Amiens-Métropole
土 10月 3
The 100km de la Somme & Marathon d'Amiens-Métropole centers on a 100 km road ultra in Amiens, offering marathon and half marathon distances for those seeking a shorter race. The main event has been a fixture in French long-distance running since 1979, initially as the 100 km du Val de Somme, later known as the 100 km d'Amiens. Its establishment aimed to promote road running in Picardy, making it France's second-oldest 100 km race, following Millau. The race began with 150 participants and 55 finishers, evolving into a significant ultra event that once attracted over 1,000 starters and more than 600 classified finishers. Its initial years were marked by speed, with the women's 100 km world record set there and course records frequently broken. The course was later rerouted to a 10 km circuit within Amiens for safety, a change that impacted participation, leading to a 17-year hiatus before its revival. French championships have been hosted multiple times, and the current event provides distances from 21 km to 100 km during the same Amiens race weekend.
100 Km de la Somme et Marathon d'Amiens Métropole
土 10月 10
The 100 Km de la Somme et Marathon d'Amiens Métropole is a road-running series held in Amiens, in the Somme department of Hauts-de-France, in early October. The program includes three distances: a 100 km ultramarathon, a marathon, and a half marathon. The half marathon is open to solo runners or three-person relay teams. The event began in 1979, and the 100 km race holds a strong reputation in France because of its distance, history, and position on the long-distance calendar. All three routes follow the Somme river, traveling between Amiens, the surrounding countryside, and Picardy villages. The marathon turns around at Bourdon, while the 100 km continues west to Pont-Rémy. Runners pass locations such as Picquigny, Breilly, Condé-Folie, and Longpré-les-Corps-Saints. The courses combine urban sections with greenways, paths, riverside stretches, and open natural areas, creating a sense of a long journey through the Somme valley rather than repeated laps.
100 km & marathon de la Somme - Amiens
日 10月 18
The 100 km & marathon de la Somme - Amiens is a race series held in Amiens, France, featuring a full marathon and a 100 km ultra. It is organized by L'Amicale du Val de Somme, a local running club affiliated with the French athletics federation. The event is part of a club culture, not a large commercial race. The organizing club welcomes runners of all levels, provides free or coached training, offers personal advice, and hosts local competitions like the Amiens marathon.
Trail des Crac's - Conty
日 10月 18
Semi-marathon du bois de Vincennes - Paris
月 10月 19
The Semi-marathon du Bois de Vincennes begins near the Château de Vincennes and covers 21.097 km within the Bois de Vincennes, east of Paris. This is a traditional half marathon organized by Sport Passion, starting at 9:30 AM with approximately 5,000 participants. The course follows the roads and paths of the wood, going by the Parc Floral, the arboretum, the Gravelle stream, the tropical garden, and the shores of the Minimes and Daumesnil lakes. It attracts club runners, local participants, and half-marathoners from across Île-de-France. Event activities are scheduled along the route, and online registration is available via Sport Passion’s website.
MAIF Ekiden de Paris
日 11月 1
Six runners share one marathon at the MAIF Ekiden de Paris, a Paris road relay run in early November. The format originates from Japan: instead of one person covering 42.195 km alone, teammates split the distance and pass the race from runner to runner. The event also offers a half-marathon distance of 21.0975 km, suitable for groups that want the team format without committing to the full marathon distance. The course runs through Paris, using the city’s monuments as part of the setting, but the main focus is the team race rather than solo sightseeing. More than 1,600 teams participated in a recent edition, with club runners, mixed-ability groups, and very fast squads all on the same program. The competition at the front is serious: a Kenyan team ran under two hours on French soil, the men’s French senior ekiden record was broken, and the women’s winners finished in 2h22'30''.
Ekiden de Noyon
火 11月 10
Ekiden de Noyon is a six-runner marathon relay held in Noyon, located in the Oise department of northern France. Teams complete the full 42.195 km marathon distance on the road, with each runner covering one leg instead of individuals running the entire marathon. It is associated with the November holiday period and is organized by AAC Noyonnais. The format is the primary attraction: it transforms a marathon into a team endeavor, making pacing, handovers, and collective spirit as important as individual speed. The event is open to all participants, features children’s races starting in the morning, and awards prizes across the various races. The organizers characterize the ekiden as a competition that fosters group cohesion, which aligns with its structure: club runners, workplace teams, friends, and families can all share a single marathon day without requiring six individuals to run a full marathon each.
Semi-Marathon de Boulogne-Billancourt Christian Granger
日 11月 15
The Semi-Marathon de Boulogne-Billancourt Christian Granger is a November half marathon held in Boulogne-Billancourt, a commune in the Hauts-de-Seine department near Paris. This road race covers the standard 21.1 km distance, and it is the sole event offered, without a full marathon option. The race attracts several thousand participants annually and welcomes both novice and seasoned runners, giving it the feel of a significant local competition rather than a specialized elite gathering. The course is a loop starting and ending at the town hall. Participants run clockwise along the Seine, passing Sèvres - Cité de la céramique and the Pont de Saint-Cloud, before heading north towards Longchamp Racecourse. A brief stretch through the Bois de Boulogne leads to the halfway point, after which the route reverses, following the river south back to the town hall finish. The name reflects the affectionate local identity of Boulogne-Billancourt, sometimes called Boulbi, aligning with a race centered on the town itself rather than a tour of the broader Paris region.
Semi-marathon de la coulée verte - Salouël
月 3月 8
The Semi-marathon de la Coulée Verte is a 21.1 km race in Salouël, Somme, northern France, starting at 10:00 from Rue Jean Jaurès. It is a straightforward half marathon with approximately 70 meters of elevation gain, presenting a gentle profile rather than a mountainous one. The event also features the Semi-relais ENDRIX, a two-person relay for teams wishing to divide the distance. Esprit Run organizes the race, now in its 16th edition. The FFA label is significant as the half marathon serves as a qualifier for the French championships, attracting runners aiming for an official standard, alongside local participants and relay teams. The race's core offering is a measured half marathon in Salouël, with official rankings provided by Courses80, and a relay option complementing the individual race.
Semi-Marathon de Saint-Witz
土 3月 20
The Semi-marathon de Saint-Witz is a road race held in Saint-Witz, a commune in Val-d'Oise, north of Paris. It takes place in late March, a time when mornings in this region of Île-de-France can still be cold, suggesting that a warm layer before the start is advisable. The event offers more than just its namesake distance; while the half marathon is the main event, participants can also opt for shorter races of 5 km, 10 km, and 11.5 km, alongside children’s and junior races. The event begins in Saint-Witz and is organized by COSMSW. Established in 1979, it ranks among the longer-standing half marathons in France. The race accommodates walkers, broadening participation beyond those focused on half-marathon times. Families, younger runners, walkers, local club members, and individuals seeking a shorter road race can all find a place in this event.
Semi-marathon de Joinville
日 3月 21
The Semi-marathon de Joinville is a road-running event in Joinville-le-Pont, France, with a 21.1 km half marathon as its main distance. The program also includes 5 km and 10 km races, so runners can choose a shorter effort or use the day for a full half-marathon test. The route is set in an urban part of Joinville-le-Pont and also passes through a public park, giving the race a mix of town streets and green space. Hundreds of runners join, including experienced racers chasing a reference time and people trying the half marathon distance for the first time.
L'Ultra Selle Pied
日 3月 28
Ultra Selle Pied takes place in March in Conty, located in the Somme department of Hauts-de-France. The event is described as the Somme's first ultra-walk, offering routes from a 6 km family walk up to a 50 km challenge. While it carries the ultra name, it caters to various fitness levels with 12 km, 22 km, and 42 km options. Participants can choose between walking, Nordic walking, gravel, trail, running, and canicross. The routes traverse the countryside surrounding Conty, including natural areas, public parks, and forests. Conty Selle Pied, the local walking association, organized the event to showcase the Somme region and ensure it is welcoming to individuals and families. Aid stations are available, participants are requested to bring an eco-cup, and the event incorporates ecological practices. A timing chip is provided for a competitive element, and all finishers receive a commemorative gift.
