Trail du buis - La Buisse
日 10月 11
Trail du Buis takes place in La Buisse, beginning Sunday morning with bib collection for participants. The traditional 21 km race, runnable solo or in pairs, is offered alongside shorter events for runners and Nordic walkers. A 30 km race, new in recent years, is part of the Pays Voironnais Trail Series. The 21 km course ascends for a significant portion before reaching the Grand Ratz area, then alternates between narrow paths, woodland tracks, rural roads, and challenging terrain. It is suited for those who enjoy mountainous landscapes and benefit from training on inclines and varied surfaces. Over 700 participants typically attend, with about thirty pairs in the 21 km event. The 30 km provides a more demanding choice and serves as the sixth event in the seven-part PVTS series. Nordic walkers utilize a section of the 10 km course when upper paths near Les Combes are impacted by rockfalls.
Trail du Buis
火 10月 13
Trail du Buis takes place in La Buisse, a village in Isère within the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, held around mid-October. This trail-running event offers multiple distances: a 10 km race, the traditional 21 km TDB distance, an approximately 8.7 km Nordic walking route, and a 30 km race providing a longer mountain option. Over 700 participants attend, giving it the feel of a well-attended local event rather than a small gathering. The 21 km course ascends for a significant portion towards the Grand Ratz site before transitioning to singletrack, forest paths, country roads, and technical sections. It features roughly 1110 m of elevation gain. The 10 km course has about 400 m of elevation gain, and the 30 km course reaches approximately 1300 m. Runners can complete the 21 km solo or in pairs, with past events seeing about thirty duos. Nordic walkers also participate, with their route subject to adjustments on the Combes section due to conditions. Trail du Buis is included in the Pays Voironnais Trail Series and is now in its second decade.
Semi-Marathon de la Noix
日 10月 18
The Semi-Marathon de la Noix is a road race in Tullins, Isère, France, scheduled for mid-October. Participants can select the half marathon (21.0975 km) or a shorter 10-11 km race. Children's and junior courses are also part of the event. CMI, Coureurs du Monde en Isère, organizes the race, which welcomes licensed and non-licensed runners from the Junior category upwards. The route is flat, measured to FFA standards, and winds through a natural setting instead of a city. Its FFA label means the half marathon is classified and can qualify runners for the French championships. This makes it suitable for club runners aiming for a standard and for local participants seeking a measured autumn race. The Semi de la Noix is considered a local comeback in Tullins, following a previously announced cancellation. The event provides essential race-day amenities, including aid stations and changing rooms.
La Vitalavie
火 11月 10
La Vitalavie is an autumn race in Annecy, Haute-Savoie, France, offering running and walking options. The program includes trail running, road running, and Nordic walking, with distances around 16 km, 16.5 km, and 20.9 km. It typically occurs in early November, and previous editions featured two main courses of approximately 16 km and 21 km. The race begins and ends at Albigny beach, directing participants toward areas around the lake like Talloires and Perroix, and the upper reaches of Lake Annecy. Around 400 participants joined a past edition, accommodating both experienced runners and amateurs. The event originated as a local autumn gathering named La Vitalavie, supported by volunteers and sports enthusiasts. Its current name, En courant sur les balcons du lac d’Annecy, better reflects the terrain above the lake. Organizers describe the updated route as accessible and fast, with varied terrain and challenges suitable for different skill levels.
La Chambérienne
土 11月 14
La Chambérienne is a night urban trail race held in Chambéry, located in the Savoie department of France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It takes place in November and features two city-trail distances: 10 km and 21 km, each designed as a single-loop course. The 21 km race is the primary event, available for solo runners or two-person duos. The 10 km offers a shorter solo option, maintaining the same nighttime, in-town format. The event emphasizes its Chambéry roots with the slogan “Trop Chambé !”, positioning itself on the regional running calendar as a concise city race distinct from extended mountain runs.
Trail la chambérienne - Chambéry
日 11月 15
Trail la Chambérienne is an evening trail event in Chambéry, Savoie. The first race begins at 19:30, with others starting at 20:00. The program includes a 10.5 km discovery trail with 330 m elevation gain, a 4 km children’s discovery trail with 50 m elevation gain, and two 21 km short-trail options with 950 m elevation gain. One 21 km option is for solo runners, and the other is for duos. The race is designed for runners preferring hills over a flat city course. The 10 km trail offers a shorter option for less experienced trail runners, while the 21 km routes present more climbing within a manageable distance. Children have a dedicated 4 km course, and the duo format allows pairs to tackle the longer distance together. Entry fees vary from 5 euros for the children’s race to 50 euros for the 21 km duo.
Brooks Marathon du Lac d'Annecy
土 4月 17
The Brooks Marathon du Lac d'Annecy is a spring road marathon in Annecy, France, that runs beside Lake Annecy with the Alps nearby. Established in 1980 and sanctioned by the French Athletics Federation, it is a race weekend with multiple options: participants can select the full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, or a walking event, which includes Nordic walking. The full marathon begins on Avenue du Petit Port, with seeded waves organizing runners by pace. The course follows the lake's western shore and passes through some of Annecy's well-known public areas, such as Le Paquier promenade, the Gardens of Europe, Parc Charles Bosson, and the Bout du Lac Nature Reserve. Runners encounter sections alongside turquoise water, shaded paths, and expansive mountain vistas. The course is also noted as challenging, meaning it is more than just a scenic race. It attracts runners seeking a French spring marathon in a lake-and-mountain environment, alongside local participants and those running shorter distances during the same weekend.
Trail du Lac de Paladru
土 4月 17
Trail du Lac de Paladru is a trail-running series around Lake Paladru in Isere, with three main distances: a 17 km semi-nocturnal race, a 32 km trail, and a 55 km Grand Tour du Lac. The short race starts in Charavines at 7:30 PM and can be run solo or as a duo, while the 55 km starts in the morning from Camping Detente & Clapotis in Montferrat and the 32 km starts from the camping site the next day. All three races are UTMB Qualifiers, and the longer two also carry ITRA points. The courses are hilly without relying on one huge mountain climb: the 17 km has 740 m of gain, the 32 km has 1,000 m, and the 55 km has 2,028 m, with the longest climb on each route around 240-250 m. The 17 km asks runners to carry their own food and drink, while the 32 km has three aid stations and the 55 km has three solid aid stations plus one liquid station. Mandatory kit and time barriers apply across the races. Entries are capped at 300 solo runners and 100 duos for the 17 km, 900 runners for the 32 km, and 600 runners for the 55 km; in the duo race, partners must start and finish together.
La Chatvoyarde
土 4月 24
La Chatvoyarde is a 21 km nature trail race in Saint-Jean-de-Chevelu, Savoie, French Alps. It begins at 9 a.m. from Camping des Lacs, covering 950 meters of elevation gain within its half-marathon distance. This course is suited for runners with existing trail experience, not for casual road runners seeking a simple run. The route primarily follows natural paths and trails, featuring steady ascents, quicker rolling segments, and technical descents. It passes through Saint-Jean-de-Chevelu and Billième, offering views of the Saint-Jean-de-Chevelu lakes, adjacent hills, and nearby mountains. Participants will find one aid station along the route and a more complete refreshment area at the finish. The entry fee is 25 euros.
