The Drop Cambridge begins at Up & Running in Cambridge, sending runners into Cambridgeshire with a unique challenge: they are blindfolded, placed on a bus, and dropped at an unknown location. This is a winter navigation test, not a standard marked race, offering 6, 10, and 15 mile options calculated as straight-line distances from the event center. Before departing, participants surrender phones, watches, and maps. Their journey back relies on judgment, directional sense, and on-the-ground decisions. With no course markers or guidance after release, the actual distance often exceeds the advertised drop due to roads, paths, detours, and any errors made. The event combines trail running, urban navigation, and deliberate disorientation across the countryside and outskirts of Cambridge.
