Spartan Szombathely is a spring obstacle race held in Szombathely, following the Spartan format of running combined with barriers, carries, climbs, and other physical challenges. Upon its arrival in the city, the international series attracted several thousand competitors from Hungary and abroad, offering five race categories.
The event welcomed participants beyond specialists; local officials attended, and the deputy mayor completed the obstacle-filled course during the charity race. The best home performance was achieved in the men's sprint, with Szombathely racer Bendegúz Kívés securing second place, the sole Hungarian on the podium. Participants also raised close to 3 million forints for the Esőemberke and PontMás foundations.
