Casaglia - San Luca
Casaglia - San Luca is a 10.2 km night road race in Bologna, organized by Associazione Polisportiva Dilettantistica Acquadela. It begins on Via de Coubertin near the Marathon Tower, completes a short loop around the stadium, then directs runners uphill toward Casaglia and Montalbano before heading toward the Basilica of San Luca. The race follows one of Bologna's most recognized climbs: the road to the Santuario della Madonna di San Luca on Colle della Guardia, 280 meters above sea level. After the turn near the sanctuary, runners go down the Orfanelle slope, where the route offers a view over Bologna, and finish at Meloncello, the arch on the old porticoed route from Porta Saragozza to San Luca. The event is in its fourth decade, and entries are managed through ENDU, an online form, or a paper form.
