The Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon covers 21.0975 km through central Rome each October. Now in its second edition, it already attracts a large field. RomaOstia and RCS Sports & Events organize the race, with the village located at Eataly Roma Ostiense. Here, runners pick up bibs and visit sponsor stands prior to race day. The event draws amateur half-marathoners, international participants, and a strong elite field, and is promoted as Italy’s largest half marathon by participation.
The course highlights Rome itself. Runners pass the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, Piazza Navona, and other historic streets. Over 11,000 international runners have registered, and one edition saw 17,000 total entrants, marking it as a mass event. The organizers use the phrase “Run through Eternity,” which suits the route well, as the landmarks are integral to the half-marathon course, not mere side attractions.
