The Kwintelooyen Run is an autumn cross-and-trail race held in Rhenen, within the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Starting from Oude Veensegrindweg, it features four distances: the Vaarkamp Kidsrun (1 km), and 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km races for older participants. Participant numbers are limited to 1,000, maintaining a local trail day atmosphere rather than a large road-running event.
The race is centered on the Kwintelooyen area, drawing participants for both their race times and the experience of running through this section of the Utrecht hills. Stichting Kwintelooyen running events organizes it, and the event has completed its tenth edition. Post-race amenities include changing facilities, first aid, an AED, parking, Puma shirts for 5, 10, and 15 km runners, and a distinct shirt for children. Entry fees contribute to Netwerk voor Jou, a youth volunteer organization, and Q-Dreams, supporting children and young adults with severe multiple disabilities.
