Social Mile

The Social Mile is a race series held in Social Circle, Georgia. This city, located approximately 45 miles east of Atlanta, has about 5,000 residents and spans just over 11 square miles at an elevation of 890 feet. The setting provides a small-town atmosphere, distinct from a large urban road race. The race details are best understood through the town's context. Social Circle features a railroad station served by a CSX Transportation line maintenance facility. Its former railyard once housed one of the few remaining concrete coaling towers in the southeastern United States.
