Furusjøen Rundt-løpet begins and ends at Rudland Fjellsenter on Kvamsfjellet, set against the Rondane mountains. Held in September, it concludes the Eventyret i Rondane series. The main distance is now a half marathon, an increase from the previous 18 km. The event also includes a 9 km recreational route, a family course, a 9 km march, and the Snipp and Snapp obstacle runs for children.
The course features a mix of gravel roads, trails, duckboards, and mountain terrain, avoiding a single road loop. Participants will run along Rondablikkvegen, towards Rustugusetra and Rondaplassen, using Nysetervegen and Hovdvegen. The longest ascent comes before the first aid station. Other parts of the course go by Fryosen, Frylisætra, Luseby, Glitra, Pungen, old seter huts, Peer-Gynt Seterveg, and the flatter sections beside Årvillingen towards Hovde. The race, established in 1966 and holding Quality Race certification, accommodates both runners and walkers with its competitive, recreational, family, and children’s options.
