Knubben Rundt 2026

Knubben Rundt is a 10 km terrain race in Ytre Snillfjord, Trøndelag, starting at Ven oppvekstsenter. It takes place in late July, maintaining a local, understated character: walkers and recreational runners can begin during a morning window, while the competitive class starts together at noon. The event originates from the Norwegian trimløp tradition, meaning most participants are there to complete the loop rather than compete for a podium. Recent fields have numbered between 180 and nearly 200 participants, with only about 20 in the competitive class. The race has been held over 45 times, and results indicate a blend of local clubs and strong visiting runners; one edition saw siblings Erling and Gunhild Stølen win the men’s and women’s competitive classes, while Jenny Wissting, the sole female competitor that day, described it as difficult and warm but still enjoyable because of the pleasant course.
