Student-VM is the World University Championship in orienteering, held in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. The program features a sprint and a long-distance race, distinguishing it from a road race. It is a navigation event requiring participants to run quickly while selecting routes between controls.
The fields were substantial, with over eighty women and nearly ninety men competing in each listed race. Norwegian students performed well: Emma Louise Arnesen and Ulrik Astrup Arnesen placed in the sprint top ten, Jørgen Baklid was eighth in the men's sprint, and Sander Arntzen led the Norwegian long-distance efforts with a top-ten finish.
