In Brzezie, this September family race honors Father Jan Szybowski, a former parish priest remembered by local residents. The Parish Branch of Catholic Action in Brzezie organized it as a community run, with nearly 70 finishers despite bad weather and age groups for children, teenagers, and adults.
The youngest runners had their own 200-meter race, and some children were carried along the route by their parents. The field stretched from preschool-age children to a runner over 70, while OSP Brzezie secured the route. After the finish, awards were handed out, a parish children’s and youth choir sang, and Akademia Ruchu added singing and dance performances.
