Bieg Słoneczny is the summer race held in Widziszewo, a village within the Kościan Commune in western Poland. It features a 10 km main race and a 5 km race, with both distances commencing from the same starting line. The routes are certified, results are recorded by gross times, and the primary distance offers cash prizes. This event is part of the running Grand Prix of the Kościan Commune, a series where each round corresponds to a different season: winter in Nowy Dębiec, spring in Racot, summer in Widziszewo, and autumn in Turwia.
The course follows paved streets around Widziszewo, specifically Podgórna and C streets, classifying it as a road race. A recent edition saw 320 participants, with 194 in the 5 km and 128 in the 10 km. Participants, their supporters, and local residents convene near Sala Ogrodnika before the start, and the race traditionally begins with a collective warm-up. The 5 km race also includes a category for wheelchair participants, integrating this aspect into the main race day.
