Kresowe Trail - JANÓW is a forest trail race held in Janów, near Chełm in eastern Poland. The start and finish are located near the local community center. Participants can select a longer route, the Wertep, covering approximately 17 to 18 kilometers, or a shorter option, the Szpurt, around 7 kilometers. A 7 km Nordic Walking category is also available. This event is suited for those preferring soft forest terrain over a flat road course.
The course winds through the wooded areas surrounding Kumowa Dolina and the Chełm Hills. Some sections offer a terrain reminiscent of mountain running rather than typical lowland trails. This area is also familiar to participants of the Kresowe bicycle marathons, which have taken place over many editions, indicating the course's history predates this running event. The finish line is situated on a hill, adding a challenging incline to the final meters.
