The Szczecin Night Marathon takes runners through Szczecin late at night, starting at 11:00 PM with the city illuminated by streetlights. It is a road race offering half marathon and marathon distances: 21.1 km and 42.2 km. The event also features races for children and juniors, adding a family aspect to the main adult competitions.
The route is urban and primarily asphalt, with the half marathon officially measured at 21,097 metres and certified by Polish Athletics. Ruchowa Akademia Zdrowia in Szczecin and RAZ Event organize the race, with the City of Szczecin as co-organizer and support from port and regional partners. The connection to the port is integral to its identity: the Szczecin–Świnoujście Seaports Authority is a partner, and the race leverages the unique atmosphere of a late-night city run instead of a typical morning start. The organizers also aim to encourage more people to run, promote active lifestyles in Szczecin, and ensure participation is accessible for individuals with disabilities.
