Daleszyce traditionally opens the MTB Cross Maraton season, held just before the May long weekend in Poland's Świętokrzyskie region. The Master race covers 76 km on mountain bikes, and the Daleszyce event offers riders three route options with varying lengths and difficulty. Riders familiar with the series refer to the town as “Dallas,” a nickname reflecting how well-known this stop is to Polish MTB participants.
The routes are located in the Cisowsko-Orłowińskie range of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, which organizers describe as some of Europe’s oldest mountains and a challenging terrain for cycling. Almost 400 participants from throughout Poland began the main event, with 69 starters recorded for the Master results. Amateurs compete alongside skilled club riders and elite mountain bikers, and many return to these trails annually. This is the twentieth edition of the Daleszyce race, signifying it as more than just an early-season fitness test; it is one of the series stops with significant history.
