The Ostrzeszów Half Marathon “Koroną Wzgórz Wielkopolski” covers 21.0975 km in and around Ostrzeszów, held in September. While it uses the standard half marathon distance, the focus is not on a fast, flat course. Instead, the race highlights the hills of southern Wielkopolska, challenging the notion that the region is entirely level.
The route begins and ends at the municipal stadium in Ostrzeszów, leading runners through the Ostrzeszów and Kobyla Góra communes. Participants will encounter asphalt, forest tracks, sandy singletrack, moraine hills, natural obstacles, and technical climbs and descents. The field is limited to 150 runners, with classifications for overall results, age groups, teams, and a distinct category for residents of Ostrzeszów poviat. Clubs and associations can also compete as teams, where the four fastest runners determine the team's result.
