The Tychy Half Marathon is a 21 km race held in Tychy, Poland. It features a PZLA-certified course with its race headquarters located near the city’s Athletics Stadium. Typically held in September, it follows a typical city half marathon format: asphalt streets, controlled pacing, and a route designed to allow runners to achieve personal best times. The event began with just over 400 participants and has since developed into a significant local race, attracting well over a thousand finishers in its most popular years.
The route crosses Tychy and Paprocany, circling Lake Paprocanańskie. A section of this loop utilizes compacted forest trails rather than exclusively paved roads. Participants will pass landmarks including Wodny Park Tychy, the historic Tychy brewery district, and the municipal stadium, concluding back at the Athletics Stadium. The event also offers children's races, warm-ups, athletic activities, massages, and family-oriented attractions. Following the race, participants often engage in local recovery traditions, such as walking or resting in hammocks by the lake, utilizing the brine and saunas at Wodny Park, or enjoying beer tasting at the brewery.
