Ultra Mazury begins and ends on the beach at Hotel Anders in Stare Jabłonki, a lakeside village in Poland’s Warmia-Masuria region. The race takes place on a Saturday in July and offers four distances: approximately 99 km, 70 km, 37 km, and 10 km. It is a trail and ultramarathon event, accommodating long-distance runners, shorter trail runners, and participants trying the format over 10 km. This is the ninth edition, and the organizers note that while Mazury is not mountainous, the routes are not entirely flat.
All distances share the same beach-based race office and finish area, creating a central hub. The longest route includes about 1,810 meters of climbing, five aid stations, and a drop bag service. The 70 km race has approximately 1,280 meters of climbing, four aid stations, and also allows drop bags. The 37 km and 10 km options are less complex, with two and one aid stations respectively and no drop bags. The three longer distances are UTMB World Series index categories; the 10 km is not. The weekend program includes packet pickup, a Friday pasta party, early starts for the ultra distances, beachside awards for the shorter races, and an evening grill after-party at Karczma pod Modrzewiem by Hotel Anders.
