Azores Hybrid Race 2026

The Azores Hybrid Race begins and ends at Portas do Mar in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Azores, during an October weekend. This fitness competition is hybrid, meaning participants run a set distance and also complete functional workout stations built to official HYROX standards. The event features 10 races, including 25 km and 50 km options, with both the single pro and single open formats covering 25 km. The format accommodates various athlete types: solo racers, doubles pairs, relay teams, and elite men and women all have categories. Rather than a straightforward point-to-point race, the day involves repeated transitions between running and gym-style exercises, with electronic timing and live results monitoring competitors. Ilhéus Impactantes - Clube organizes the event. A small local detail is the optional race T-shirt, which costs extra, with one euro from each purchase donated to the Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Ponta Delgada.
