Bairrada Eco Challenge 2026

The Bairrada Eco Challenge is an obstacle trail race scheduled for September 12, 2026, in Oliveira do Bairro, Portugal. The primary race covers a distance of 12 to 13 kilometers, traversing trails with natural obstacles. The course highlights the natural scenery along the Cértima River and passes through the parishes of Oliveira do Bairro, Oiã, and Reçardães/Espinhel. The event is open to individuals aged 15 and older. A separate junior race is available for participants aged 6 to 14, with a distance ranging from 800 to 1,200 meters. The event is designed for all ages and includes family activities and entertainment following the races. The race aims to encourage participants to challenge themselves while enjoying the natural environment. Participants can compete individually or in teams. Awards will be presented for the fastest times, team spirit, and creative costumes.
