Ultra X Azores 2026

Ultra X Azores is a multi-day trail stage race on São Miguel, the largest island in Portugal's Azores. It takes place at the end of June, with runners starting and finishing in Ponta Delgada. The event offers two single-loop distances: 118 km with 4,388 m of climbing, and 56 km with 1,961 m of climbing. Both races count toward the UTMB Index, appealing to trail runners seeking a demanding island race with recognized trail-running points. The route crosses São Miguel's coastal, mountain, natural, and forest terrain, presenting a challenge beyond mere distance.
