SkyMarathon Chopok 2026

SkyMarathon Chopok covers 43 km in the Low Tatras, with a 21 km Sky Race Jasna Trail offered for those preferring half the distance. The longer race is also available as a relay, with teams of up to four each covering approximately 10-11 km sections. This event, now in its 11th year, focuses on mountain running over road racing. The course crosses both the southern and northern aspects of the Low Tatras, featuring a substantial section of the main ridge. The trails are runnable, but participants are advised to be attentive to their footing. The terrain varies frequently, making footwear selection a challenge. Spectators have multiple vantage points along the route, allowing friends and family to observe the race at various stages rather than solely at the finish.
