Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists Oktoberfest 10K/5K, Kids Superhero Run
The Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists Oktoberfest 10K/5K and Kids Superhero Run is a fall race day held at Consumer's Plaza in downtown Jackson, Michigan. The start and finish are located in front of the old post office, which is now Consumers Energy headquarters. 地元の人たちは、Lansing River Trail、MSU River Trail、MSU Campus pathwaysを中心に走ることが多いね。Lansing River Trailは、舗装されたトレイルが20 miles近くあって、いろんな景色が楽しめるんだ。Downtown、Old Town、REO Town、Potter Park Zoo、Rotary Parkの間で、気軽にbase milesを稼げるよ。East Lansing Run Clubは、毎週水曜の夜6PMと土曜の朝8AMにValley Court Parkで集まって、自分のペースでカジュアルに5kのグループランをしてる。Capital City River Run、Golden Harvest Half Marathon & 5k/10k - Lansing、Lansing Half Marathon、Trail Town 10K & 5K、Lansing Turkey Trotあたりが、この地域の主要なレースだね。
みんな、最初はLansing River TrailとかHawk Meadow Trailみたいな走りやすいバイクパスを走って、それからDelta Mills TrailやCapital City Bird Sanctuary Loopの方へ行って、ちょっと頑張る感じかな。グループライドは、Capital City Cycling Club、TNR Cycling Club、Great Rides Lansing、Tri-County Bicycle Associationが活発に活動してるよ。よくあるループだと、3 kmで140 mの登りがあるんだ。登りはほとんど東側に集中してて、そこまで標高差があるわけじゃないから、しんどすぎないローリングヒルが多いよ。Burchfield Parkにはsingletrackもあるから、ハードな日にはそっちもいいね。
Lansing-East Lansingは秋が一番いい感じだね。主要なランニングレースもこの時期に集中してる。夏は日陰の多い公園のトレイルでZ2を維持したり、MSU Campus pathwaysで短いインターバルを入れたりする。サイクリストにとっては、夏の終わりのメインイベントとして2026 DALMAC - Dick Allen Lansing to MACkinaw Bicycle Tourがあるね。冬は、習慣自体は変わらないけど、走る場所の感じが変わるかな。MSU River TrailやMSU Campus pathwaysは冬の間も除雪されてて走りやすいから、ランナーは平日の走行距離を維持できる。サイクリストは、除雪された舗装路で慎重に走ったり、春のcrit、gran fondo、cyclocross、singletrackの計画がまた現実味を帯びてくるようなbase milesを積んだりする感じ。
