2026 GCR Firecracker 5K

The GCR Firecracker 5K is a Fourth of July 5K held in Naples, Florida. The race begins near the water treatment plant on 10th Street North. Runners, run-walkers, and walkers are welcome. The main race starts at 7 a.m., with packet pickup available before sunrise. The course consists of two loops through Lake Park. Before the 5K, a no-registration kids race is held: a half-mile loop starting and finishing at the 5K finish line. Finishers receive medals, and age-group awards are presented. The event also includes the GCR Freedom Swim at Lowdermilk Park. Proceeds benefit the Gulf Coast Runners Youth Development Fund, providing a local youth-running purpose.
