The Beer City Half Santa Rosa begins at A Place to Play in Santa Rosa, California, offering a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1-mile Beer Stroll on the same morning. The event centers on running and local beer, with finishers receiving a shirt, a Key to Beer City medal, a custom tasting glass, and unlimited tastings until noon from Santa Rosa and Sonoma County brewers. The longer races follow the Santa Rosa Creek, showcasing a less-traveled section of the city, while the Beer Stroll remains near A Place to Play. Following the main races, the Beat the Beast Beer Mile challenges runners against a Beer City Beast; if caught, the runner is eliminated.
