Run The Runway - Corpus Christi 2026

Run The Runway - Corpus Christi takes runners and walkers onto the East runway at Corpus Christi International Airport, with the runway closed to normal airport use for the event. The main race is a 5K, and the day also includes a 1K Kids Fun Run, making it suitable as a family event as much as a local running event. It is held in the fall, starts in the morning, and is organized with Corpus Christi International Airport and race-production partners. The 5K uses an out-and-back course on airport pavement, with static aircraft, airport trucks, special vehicles, and emergency response vehicles displayed for participants and spectators to see up close. Food trucks and vendor booths add to the airport-day setup. Proceeds have supported groups such as the USO and Wings of Texas, a Coastal Bend nonprofit that grew out of an adaptive running program and creates athletic and social opportunities for people with disabilities.
