The Freaky 5K 2026

The Freaky 5K is an October 5K run/walk held at Pierce Park in Appleton. A Halloween-themed Mini Monster Dash for children takes place before the main 5K event. The 5K begins in the morning, utilizes chip timing, and offers categories for individual runners, youth runners, and family or group entries. The 5K course runs alongside the Fox River. The Mini Monster Dash is a half-mile loop on the Pierce Park trail, keeping children away from the road. Awards are given to the top overall male and female 5K finishers. All participants in both races receive custom medals. The park will feature children's games, a playground, refreshments for 5K runners, and assistance from Appleton YMCA volunteers.
