Veterans Day 5k Run & Walk 2026

The Veterans Day 5k Run & Walk is a 5k event held at the John Harris Campus on Market Street in Harrisburg. Harrisburg High School’s Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Program hosts the event, connecting it to students, service, and the local military community, distinguishing it from a typical neighborhood 5k. The course winds through the school campus, with a shared distance for runners and walkers. The inaugural event features food trucks, a DJ, and exhibits and activities from various military branches. The race benefits the NJROTC program as well as veteran and civilian groups, with a theme centered on diversity, inclusion, and the capabilities of the military services.
