Grand Trail des Templiers is an October trail-running event held in Millau, within the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park in southern France. Its primary race, the 80 km Grand Trail des Templiers, is the historic event recognized for popularizing trail running in France. The series includes 12 distances ranging from 7 km to approximately 100 km, attracting participants from short-distance runners to ultra specialists.
The courses traverse the limestone plateaus, valleys, gorges, forest paths, and challenging technical trails of the Causses. The 80 km race begins before dawn and covers over 3,400 m of elevation gain. The Endurance Trail extends to nearly 100 km with more than 4,300 m of ascent, starting at the base of the Causse Noir. Additional races feature the 62 km Intégrale des Causses from Peyreleau, the Boffi Fifty with its exposed and technical sections, and the Marathon du Larzac from La Salvage. The organizers collaborate with the regional park to minimize environmental impact and to emphasize the event's connection to respecting the land.
