O wyścigu
Grav'Elles Tour Queyras is a non-timed gravel ride in the Queyras Regional Park, in France's Hautes-Alpes, run in late June over a long weekend. It is not a beginner event, but it is meant for a range of gravel riders above that level, with a choice between semi-autonomy and bikepacking. The basic idea is simple: carry what you need, ride mountain gravel roads, and follow a two- or three-stage loop rather than chase a finishing time.
The shorter Nature format has two stages, with listed distances of 54 km and 27 km and plenty of climbing and descending for such compact days. The Aventure format stretches the trip to three stages, starting with a hard 63 km day that includes 2,510 m of climbing, followed by 56 km and then 60 km. Team Grav'Elles aventure organizes the event, and the Queyras setting is the main draw: high, preserved Alpine terrain in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, built more for riders who want a self-supported mountain outing than a standard road-style race.
