O wyścigu
Runners at the Tour du Lac du Val d'Auron use the 5.7 km cycling path that circles Lac du Val d'Auron, an 84-hectare lake shared by Bourges and Plaimpied-Givaudins in the Centre-Val de Loire region. The event is a November road race in the Cher department, held since 1988, with over 1,500 participants each year and several race formats.
The adult programme is built around the lake loop: one lap, two laps, and a one-lap duo option, plus the MaraTDLon, which can be run solo or by teams of two to six. The event also includes three children's races, linked to the Cher department's school-engagement work through the departmental Olympic committee, bringing local families into the race setting.
