O wyścigu
Trail Di Sant'Appianu is a semi-night trail race in Linguizzetta, a village on the eastern coast of Corsica in Haute-Corse. Held in early November, it offers 6 km and 13 km distances. The longer race is a demanding loop with approximately 900 to 950 m of elevation gain. Participants start in daylight and finish after dark, requiring a headlamp as essential gear.
The 13 km course begins near the church square and the Salle des fêtes in Linguizzetta. It then ascends toward Mount Sant'Appianu, peaking at 1,100 m. The descent winds through the Prete Morto oak forest before looping back to the village via the Way of the Cross. This event welcomes various runners, but the shorter distance is still challenging: the mountain climb is the primary test, and the semi-nocturnal aspect provides a distinct atmosphere compared to a standard daytime trail race.
